LOS ANGELES, Jan. 20 (UPI) -- Celine Dion, Jennifer Hudson, Smokey Robinson and Usher are to take part in a tribute to pop icon Michael Jackson at the Grammy Awards show in Los Angeles.

Jackson died June 25 at the age of 50. The circumstances of his death are still under investigation.

The Grammy tribute to him is to feature the premiere of the 3-D mini-movie for "Earth Song" created by Jackson as the centerpiece of his much anticipated "This Is It" tour, which had been scheduled to begin last July.

"(The 3-D film) was one of the most important portions of the concert tour to Michael and when Michael saw the film for the first time at his last rehearsal, there were tears in his eyes," said Ken Ehrlich, Grammy executive producer and longtime Jackson associate, who was also at the rehearsal that night.

"This very special Grammy moment will feature some of our most beloved Grammy winners, all of whom have a great love for Michael," added Neil Portnow, president and chief executive officer of The Recording Academy. "This segment promises to be an emotional highlight of this year's show, and is sure to join the unique list of amazing performances for which the Grammy Awards have become renowned."

CBS and Target have partnered to provide millions of free 3-D Grammy glasses so that viewers can watch the segment at home. The glasses will be available from Sunday through Jan. 31 at Target stores nationwide.

The 52nd annual Grammy Awards show is to be broadcast live from the Staples Center Jan. 31 on the CBS Television Network.
