"There's only one thing more terrifying than this..." she captioned The Shallows scene. "...THIS," she added to the throwback post.

The Shallows stars Lively as a surfer who is attacked by an enormous great white shark. The movie follows the character as she attempts to make it safely back to shore with the shark still circling.

"It was terrifying and one of the most vulnerable things you can do," the actress said of the intense role to Entertainment Weekly in April. "I kicked my butt. It's such a physical movie."

"It's really a story of us all trying to survive on this planet," she added. "It sounds lofty, but when you boil it down, that's what it is. What I really liked about this is that it wasn't just Bikini vs. Monster. But you still get a little bikini and you still get a little monster!"
