LOS ANGELES, Oct. 10 (UPI) -- Jim Henson Co. has a Labyrinth sequel in the works.

The movie was casually mentioned in a Variety article Thursday on Billy Crystal joining the company's film Which Witch.

"[Jim Henson Co. is] also working on a quartet of legacy titles in the Henson library -- a Fraggle Rock movie that's been in development at New Regency, a sequel to 1982's The Dark Crystal; a sequel to 1986's Labyrinth; and a movie based on the Emmet Otter character."

Labyrinth was directed by Jim Henson, with George Lucas as executive producer. Jennifer Connelly stars as Sarah, a 15-year-old girl whose baby brother Toby is kidnapped by Jareth, the Goblin King (David Bowie). The character must travel through a maze populated with strange creatures, and contend with the king to save her brother and return home.

Jim Henson Co. is currently run by the late filmmaker's children Lisa and Brian Henson. The studio most recently released Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day with Jennifer Garner and Steve Carrell, and production will begin on Which Witch in 2015.
