'Playbook' tops DVD sales and rental charts

LOS ANGELES, May 13 (UPI) -- "Silver Linings Playbook," the family dramedy for which actress Jennifer Lawrence won an Oscar, is the top-selling DVD and No. 1 rental in the United States.

Coming in at No. 2 on the DVD and Blu-ray rental chart for the week ending May 5 is "Django Unchained," followed by "Broken City" at No. 3, "The Guilt Trip" at No. 4 and "Gangster Squad" at No. 5, Rentrak reported Monday.

Rounding out the top tier are "The Bible" miniseries at No. 6, "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" at No. 7, "A Haunted House" at No. 8, "The Impossible" at No. 9 and "Wreck-It Ralph" at No. 10.

"Django Unchained" is No. 2 on the DVD and Blu-ray rental chart for the week ended May 4.

"This Is 40" is No. 3, "The Guilt Trip" is No. 4, "Parental Guidance" is No. 5, "Life of Pi" is No. 6, "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" is No. 7, "The Impossible" is No. 8, "Lincoln" is No. 9 and "Zero Dark Thirty" is No. 10.
