LONDON, March 20 (UPI) -- U.S. movie studio 20th Century Fox said it put up a giant rock monument at England's Stonehenge to promote its new prehistoric-themed family film, "The Croods."
Featuring the voice talents of Nicolas Cage, Emma Stone, Ryan Reynolds and Cloris Leachman, the animated movie opens in theaters Friday.
Fox called its "The Croods" rock structure "the first ever modern monument at Stonehenge."
"The Spring Solstice or 'Vernal Equinox' recognizes the first day of spring and each year sees druids and pagans gather at Stonehenge early in the morning to watch the sun rise above the prehistoric stones," Fox said in a news release. "This year an additional monument, in the shape of 'The Croods,' became part of the special daybreak celebrations on Tuesday."
The studio did not say how long its monument is expected to remain at Stonehenge.
