'Knight' stays on top of U.S. box office

LOS ANGELES, July 29 (UPI) -- "The Dark Knight Rises" took in $64.07 million for the weekend's No. 1 spot, but that was a 60 percent drop from last weekend's take.

The film stars Christian Bale and Anne Hathaway.

"Ice Age: Continental Drift" was second with $13.3 million.

All studio estimates of gross U.S. box office receipts are via Box Office Mojo.

"The Watch" was third with $13 million; "Step Up Revolution" fourth with $11.8 million; "Ted" fifth with $7.35 million; "The Amazing Spider-Man" sixth with $6.8 million; "Brave" seventh with $4.23 million; "Magic Mike" eighth with $2.58 million; "Savages (2012)" ninth with $1.75 millions.

"Moonrise Kingdom" was 10th with more than $1.38 ,million.
