Nicole Kidman named Oscar presenter

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Feb. 11 (UPI) -- Oscar winner and current nominee Nicole Kidman has agreed to be a presenter at the 83rd Academy Awards in Los Angeles, the show's producers said.

Kidman is nominated this year for her lead performance in "Rabbit Hole."

She took home the Best Actress Oscar in 2002 for her portrayal of Virginia Woolf in "The Hours" and also received a nomination in 2001 for her lead performance in "Moulin Rouge." Her other film credits include "The Golden Compass," "Cold Mountain," "Dogville," "The Others," "The Portrait of a Lady," "To Die For" and "Dead Calm."

Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2010 are to be presented Feb. 27 at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center. The ceremony is to be televised live on the ABC Television Network.
