DeVito to accept award for Douglas

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 21 (UPI) -- U.S. actor Danny DeVito will fill in for his friend Michael Douglas at the Zurich Film Festival, The Hollywood Reporter said.

DeVito will accept the festival's Golden Icon Award on Douglas' behalf Oct. 3..

Douglas had agreed to appear himself but had to cancel because is undergoing treatment for throat cancer, the Reporter said.

DeVito and Douglas have known each other since their student days, and have appeared in several movies together.
