Report: DiCaprio drops out of Gibson movie

LOS ANGELES, July 29 (UPI) -- Hollywood film actor Leonardo DiCaprio will not star as planned in a Viking picture Mel Gibson is to direct, a source close to the actor was quoted as saying.

audio clips surfaced of Gibson allegedly speaking in an abusive manner to his ex-girlfriend. The woman has also accused Gibson of hitting her and endangering their 2-month-old daughter.

"Not a chance," a source close to DiCaprio, whose name was not reported, told RadarOnline about DiCaprio collaborating with Gibson on the Viking epic, which is to begin shooting this fall.

"Leo has earned the right to pick and choose who he works with, and Mel Gibson is not one of them," the source said.

MTV News said publicists for DiCaprio and Gibson could not be reached for comment.
