Prince William, Kate Middleton share 2017 family Christmas card

The couple announced in September that they are expecting their third child.

Dec. 18 (UPI) -- Prince William and Kate Middleton have shared an adorable family Christmas card for 2017.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, both 35, released the new holiday portrait on the Kensington Palace official Twitter account Monday.

The photo, which was taken by Chris Jackson at the palace earlier this year, shows the couple and their two children, 4-year-old Prince George and 2-year-old Princess Charlotte. The family are all smiles in coordinating blue outfits.

"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are pleased to share a new photograph of their family," Kensington Palace captioned the picture. "The image features on Their Royal Highnesses' Christmas card this year."

Prince William and Middleton announced in September that they are expecting their third child. The pair confirmed their baby's due date the next month.

"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to confirm they are expecting a baby in April 2018," Kensington Palace tweeted Oct. 17.

Kensington Palace also announced Monday that Princess Charlotte will begin attending Willcocks Nursery School in London in January. Prince George started at Thomas's Battersea school in the fall.
