Nov. 28 (UPI) -- Billy Bush shared with fans on Instagram Monday a series of selfie's featuring himself laying in a hospital bed after he was struck by a golf ball. "FORE!! Thanks nurse Katrina, jovi, Jenn, Mercy @cedarssinai for the bed, the care, the ice," the former television host captioned the images while thanking hospital workers.

"I think I dodged a bullet...but sadly not a golf ball. Scan is clear, let the jokes begin #putmedownforpar," he continued describing the incident.
Bush did not share details concerning where the golf ball hit him or the extent of his injuries.
The 46-year-old last made headlines in September when it was announced that he and his wife Sydney Davis were separating after 20 years of marriage.
Bush has not been featured on television since he was fired from NBC's Today in Oct. 2016 after an Access Hollywood recording of a 2005 conversation between himself and Donald Trump surfaced. The pair were heard making insulting remarks about women on the tape.
