Kimberly Williams-Paisley's mother Linda dies at 73

NASHVILLE, Nov. 17 (UPI) -- Actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley announced on Instagram Thursday that her mother has died at the age of 73.

"I will remember you this way, Mom. Rest in love and peace. Linda Williams: June 22nd, 1943-November 16, 2016," the Father of the Bride and According to Jim star captioned a lovely, outdoor photo of her mother smiling and holding her arms outstretched.

People magazine said Linda Williams was diagnosed more than a decade ago with a rare and incurable form of early-onset dementia known as primary progressive aphasia. Before that, she worked as a foreign correspondent and a fundraiser for the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.

Kimberly Williams-Paisley, the wife of country music star Brad Paisley, chronicled her mother's health battle in the memoir Where the Light Gets In: Losing My Mother Only to Find Her Again.
