Prince Harry reportedly dating 'Suits' actress Meghan Markle

LONDON, Oct. 31 (UPI) -- Prince Harry reportedly has a special new someone in his life.

The 32-year-old British royal has been secretly dating 35-year-old American actress Meghan Markle, who plays Rachel Zane on the USA Network series Suits, according to the Daily Express.

"[He's] besotted," a source told the publication. "He's happier than he's been for many years."

"He's in a very relaxed period of his life and Meghan has come along at the right time," the insider added. "They are taking each week as it comes and just enjoying each other's company, but it's fair to say that they love seeing each other and there's a definite chemistry between them."

Prince Harry and Markle reportedly met in May while the royal was in Toronto, Canada, to promote the Invictus Games. Markle, a Los Angeles native, lives and films Suits in the Ontario capital.

"Harry has been desperate to keep the relationship quiet because he doesn't want to scare Meghan off. He knows things will change when their romance is public knowledge but he also knows he can't keep it a secret for long," the source said.

"It's too early to say if the relationship will led to anything longterm, but who knows? At the moment they are just taking it a step at a time and seeing how things develop," the insider added.

Markle's rep failed to respond to People for comment, while a Kensington Palace spokesperson said they "would not comment on private matters." The actress did post photos from two trips to London over the summer, including a picture of herself wearing bracelets similar to ones Prince Harry has worn.

Prince Harry has previously dated model Florence Brudenell-Bruce and actress Cressida Bonas. Markle, meanwhile, split from husband Trevor Engelson in 2013 after less than two years of marriage and nine years together.
