NEW YORK, Oct. 28 (UPI) -- Former Turing Pharmaceuticals CEO and controversial figure Martin Shkreli has promised fans on social media that he will release his collection of rare music if Donald Trump becomes president.

"If Trump wins, my entire unreleased music collection, including unheard Nirvana, Beatles, and of course, Wu-Tang, comes out, for free," Shkreli wrote on Twitter Wednesday.

When a Twitter user asked the 33-year-old to still release his coveted Wu-Tang album if Hillary Clinton wins, Shkreli responded that he would "break it."

In December of 2015, Shkreli made headlines when he was outed as the mystery buyer of the Wu-Tang Clans' one-of-a-kind album Once Upon A Time In Shaolin that sold for $2 million.

The album is noted for being the only copy of unreleased music from the legendary rap collective and contractually bounds Shkreli from selling the music commercially for 88 years.

Earlier in 2015 Shkreli became public enemy number one when his company acquired Daraprim, a drug used to treat AIDS and cancer patients, and then raised the price from $13.50 to $750 a pill. During a congressional committee hearing on the drug prices he repeatedly invoked the Fifth Amendment.

He has since been charged with securities fraud and is currently awaiting trial which is set for June 2017.
