Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt headed for divorce

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 20 (UPI) -- Superstar couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are reportedly headed for divorce.

News outlets reported the 41-year-old actress filed for divorce from the 52-year-old actor Monday after two years of marriage and more than a decade together.

Jolie, who cited irreconcilable differences for the split, isn't seeking spousal support, according to TMZ. She is requesting sole physical custody of her and Pitt's six children, with visitation rights and joint legal custody for the actor.

Sources told the website Jolie filed to end the marriage because of Pitt's parenting methods. The actress was reportedly "extremely upset" with The Big Short star's "interaction with their children."

Insiders also said Jolie is "fed up" with Pitt's alleged marijuana and alcohol use. The actress reportedly believes the actor has "an anger problem" and that his behavior is "dangerous for the children."

"Angelina will always do what's in the best interest to protect her children," the Maleficent star's manager, Geyer Kosinski, told E! News. "She appreciates everyone's understanding of their need for privacy at this time."

Jolie and Pitt went public with their relationship in 2006 following the actor's split from Jennifer Aniston. The couple married in Correns, France, in 2014 and share 15-year-old Maddox, 12-year-old Pax, 11-year-old Zahara, 10-year-old Shiloh and 8-year-old Knox and Vivienne.
