NEW YORK, Aug. 16 (UPI) -- Iman and David Bowie's daughter, Lexi Jones, celebrated her 16th birthday Monday. Iman, 61, marked the occasion by sharing a rare photo of the teenager on Instagram. Lexi, born Alexandria Zahra Jones, is the model's only child with late husband David Bowie.

"Happy sweet 16th birthday to my baby girl Lexi! Stay sweet 'Classy with the hint of sassy' #selfportrait #LexiLove," Iman captioned her post.
Monday marked Lexi's first birthday since Bowie's death. The "Heroes" singer, born David Robert Jones, died of liver cancer at age 69 in January, just two days after the release of his album Blackstar.
"It's amazing how a new child can refocus one's direction seconds after its birth," Bowie had gushed to Hello! after Lexi's birth. "Everything falls into a feeling of 'rightness.'"
"We've always been very close, but if it's possible we've been drawn even closer," he added of himself and Iman. "There's a joy or a contentment that's almost palpable to both of us. Overnight, our lives have been enriched beyond belief."
Bowie is also survived by Duncan Jones, his 45-year-old son with first wife Angie Bowie. Iman shares 45-year-old daughter Zulekha Haywood with her first husband, Spencer Haywood.
