WASHINGTON, Aug. 5 (UPI) -- Vice President Joe Biden showed his affection for "best friend forever" Barack Obama on his birthday by tweeting a photo of friendship bracelets.

The photo, tweeted Thursday for the U.S. president's birthday, shows a pair of summer camp-style friendship bracelets bearing the names "Joe" and "Barack" spelled out in beads.

The beads also include a flower, a smiley face, a star and a slice of pizza.

"Happy 55th, Barack! A brother to me, a best friend forever," Biden wrote.

The pizza bead could be seen as a reference to a famous Obama quip from the 2015 White House Correspondents Dinner: "We've gotten so close, in some places in Indiana, they won't serve us pizza anymore," Obama said of his friendship with the Veep, referencing a controversial Indiana law seen as allowing anti-LGBT discrimination.
