BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., June 28 (UPI) -- DJ and producer Calvin Harris publicly apologized to the paparazzi Monday after accusing the celebrity hounds of causing him to damage his Range Rover.

Harris was exiting his gym in Beverly Hills when confronted by a gaggle of paparazzi and was in a hurry to get away without answering their questions, TMZ reported.

He apparently didn't realize his back door was open when he began backing up, running the SUV's door in to a wall and damaging it. It was then Harris lit in to one of the photographers, blaming him for the incident, Billboard reported.

Harris apologized on Twitter, writing: "I know you're just doing your job and I apologise."
