Jena Malone, boyfriend Ethan DeLorenzo welcome son

LOS ANGELES, May 31 (UPI) -- Jena Malone and boyfriend Ethan DeLorenzo are first-time parents.

The 31-year-old actress announced she and DeLorenzo welcomed son Ode Mountain by sharing a first photo of the infant Tuesday on Instagram.

"The best weekend of our lives," the new mom wrote. "What an incredible blessing to be chosen by this amazing, kind, gentle and beautiful soul to be his parents."

"Humbled and in complete awe that we get to experience the most ancient and transcendent love that exists," she added.

Malone and DeLorenzo recently took a "babymoon" trip to Yosemite National Park, where they enjoyed "sleeping under the stars and building fires amongst the sequoias." The actress had announced she was expecting in January.

"It's with two feet firmly on the ground and a heart swelling in an ocean of love that I'd like to share the new shape I am becoming to hold the greatest dream of them all #babybump #newparents," she wrote at the time.

Malone is known for playing Johanna Mason in The Hunger Games film series. She also starred in Pride & Prejudice, Into the Wild and Sucker Punch, and will next appear in The Neon Demon with Elle Fanning.
