Michael C. Hall weds girlfriend Morgan Macgregor

NEW YORK CITY, N.Y., March 1 (UPI) -- Dexter actor Michael C. Hall married girlfriend Morgan Mcgregor in surprise city hall wedding Monday.

The couple, who met after Hall's split from ex-wife and co-star Jennifer Carpenter in 2012, wed in a low-key ceremony at the New York City Hall, Us Weekly reported.

Hall, 45, married Carpenter on New Year's Eve in 2008. During their brief marriage, the actor underwent treatment for Hodgkin's lymphoma. The couple separated in 2010 before their 2012 divorce.

New wife Macgregor is a book reviewer and novelist based in Los Angeles.

This is Hall's third marriage. Before Carpenter, Dexter was married to actress Amy Spanger.
