LOS ANGELES, Feb. 23 (UPI) -- Eva Longoria honored the 20th anniversary of the first album from Spice Girls with a dramatized version of the global hit "Wannabe."

In a video uploaded to Mashable Watercooler's YouTube channel Monday, Longoria introduces herself as "actress, producer, activist and aspiring Spice Girl," before embarking on a soap-opera-inspired version of the song.

The Telenovela actress repeats the song's opening lines with dramatic flair, flying through the lines with intense glaring and maniacal yelling.

British pop group Spice Girls released their debut album, Spice, nearly 20 years ago in 1996. The song "Wannabe" became an instant success as it hit the No. 1 spot in 31 countries at the time.
