Iggy Azalea calls out T.I. for cutting ties with her: 'First I've heard of us having an issue'

NEW YORK, Sept. 18 (UPI) -- Australian rapper Iggy Azalea has fired back at her mentor Tip 'T.I.' Harris after comments he made publicly cutting ties with her.

T.I. took to the airwaves Thursday, appearing on Hot 97's Ebro In The Morning show to discuss his frustrations with Azalea and why he has since parted ways with the Fancy singer due to various Twitter beefs she's had with other musicians including legendary hip-hop emcee and A Tribe Called Quest founding member Q - Tip.

"After the Q-Tip thing...after I kind of had smoothed it over, like okay, 'What is really meant to be said here is...' Then, after it was cool, you know what I mean, everything was cool," T.I. said about defending his former protégée. "And then [Team Iggy] kind of came back and undid what I had just [done for her.]"

"I'ma be all the way real, I'm a loyal partner. If I rock with you I'm gon' rock with you...I really do feel that they [Iggy's team] just needed a little more time to adjust, which I feel they [Iggy's team] can do. They have the talent, they have the charisma."

Azalea, whose real name is Amethyst Amelia Kelly, then took to Twitter claiming that she was still signed under T.I.

"Personally I don't think the radio is the place to talk about your personal issues with someone thats part of your team..." Azalea posted.

The singer does however think T.I. will eventually apologize tweeting out "I'm sure tip will publicly clarify what he meant when he feels he has the right platform to do so and other than that, im chillin."

Azalea's most recent twitter beef comes off the heels of her confrontation with pop star Britney Spears, after the duo worked together on Pretty Girls a song Azalea claims Spears failed to properly promote.

In August, the hitmaker admitted to getting rhinoplasty, which she debuted in May at the Billboard Music Awards.
