Megan Fox goes blonde for 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2'

The blonde wig is thought to be a disguise used by Fox's character, April O'Neil.

NEW YORK, May 1 (UPI) -- Megan Fox recently went blonde for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2.

The 28-year-old actress was spotted in a honey-colored wig and schoolgirl-like outfit on the set of the sequel Wednesday in New York. Fox previously tinted her hair auburn to portray redheaded reporter April O'Neil in the first film.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles premiered in August 2014, and earned $485 million at the box office. The movie featured Alan Ritchson as the voice of Raphael, with Noel Fisher as Michelangelo, Jeremy Howard as Donatello and Pete Ploszek and Johnny Knoxville as Leonardo.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 will be directed by Dave Green (Earth to Echo), and open in theaters June 3, 2016. Fox is also scheduled for new James Franco movie Zeroville with Franco, Will Ferrell and Seth Rogen as co-stars.
