Kelly Clarkson releases new single 'Invincible' from upcoming album

Clarkson promised fans to released "one song a day" until the release of her new album "Piece by Piece" on Feb. 27.

NASHVILLE, Feb. 24 (UPI) -- The original American Idol is back.

Kelly Clarkson released "Invincible" the second single off her forthcoming seventh studio album on Monday.

The track was written by acclaimed singer/songwriter Sia and its launch marks the "initial kickoff for the Piece By Piece countdown," the singer wrote on Facebook.

"Let's celebrate with one song a day until release," she added. "What do you think?"

"Invincible" follows the release of "Heartbeat Song," the first single of the record, debuted in January. Clarkson will release her new album Piece By Piece on Feb. 27.

Clarkson, 32, recently made headlines after revealing to BBC Radio 1 that she can't get many artists to collaborate with her. Clarkson's last album, Wrapped in Red was released in 2013.
