Jenner has reportedly put a hold on his forthcoming transition from male to female over his involvement in a fatal car crash last week.

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 12 (UPI) -- Reality star Bruce Jenner is at the front of anther controversy after he was caught talking on the phone while driving just days after being involved in a car crash that resulted in the death of one person.

The former Olympian was photographed on his phone while driving a Ford Fiesta in Thousand Oaks on Tuesday. Talking on the phone while driving is illegal in the state of California and violators face a $20 fine for the first offense and a $50 fine for every subsequent one.

Jenner, 65, was behind the wheel of one of four cars involved in a fatal collision Saturday and allegedly turned over his phone records to police, who requested to check the records from all the drivers involved in the crash to determine if any of them were texting during the incident.

According to TMZ, pictures taken by paparazzi that were following Jenner at the time of the crash have ignited a new theory that he hit two of the vehicles involved and not just one like it was originally reported.

Unnamed sources told Radar Online Jenner has reportedly put a hold on his forthcoming transition from male to female because his "central focus has shifted" to the crash.

"The interview with Diane Sawyer, the filming of the docu-series and the surgery will carry on, but there is a delay [in the wider process]," said the insider.
