NEW YORK, Jan. 26 (UPI) -- Rowlf, the piano-playing singing dog of Muppets fame, is going viral after a creative video editor mashed up Biz Markie's 1989 hit single Just a Friend to footage of Rowlf from The Muppet Show.
In the video, Rowlf takes to the keys to express his apparent unrequited love of Kermit's squeeze Miss Piggy.
The video was uploaded by YouTube user isthishowyougoviral, who says his name is Adam and he's a former "YouTube partner" who created "nothing but original content" before deciding "it was time to follow the model of just about every Youtube star and make videos using stuff that I don't own."
His YouTube channel is mostly videos of the Muppets synched up with contemporary and vintage pop music, and similar nostalgia-driven pop culture audio/visual combinations.
