LOS ANGELES, Jan. 22 (UPI) -- Rider Strong and wife Alexandra Barreto welcomed their first child in December 2014. The 35-year-old actor and 39-year-old actress managed to keep the pregnancy and birth a secret. Strong's representative confirmed this week the couple's son, Indigo, was born December 28.

Strong and Barreto met on the set of WB series Pepper Dennis in 2006, and married in October 2013. The actor spoke to E! News before the wedding and told the website, "I'm incredibly lucky to be getting married to my best friend and partner in crime."
Strong is best known for portraying Shawn Hunter on ABC sitcom Boy Meets World, and reprised the character for Disney Channel sequel spin-off Girl Meets World. He also appeared in such films as Borderland and The Penthouse.
Barreto starred with Strong and Michael Madsen in Tooth and Nail, and had roles in Exposed and Disney's The Kid. She played Maria Rodriguez on CBS police drama The District, and also guest starred on Cold Case and CSI: New York.
