Richard Thomas to reunite with James Earl Jones on Broadway after 56 years

NEW YORK, Dec. 3 (UPI) -- Richard Thomas and James Earl Jones are to reunite in Broadway's You Can't Take It with You, marking the first time they share a stage since they co-starred in 1958's Sunrise at Campobello.

Thomas and Anna Chlumsky will take over the roles of Paul and Alice Sycamore in the revival of You Can't Take It with You Jan. 6. They will be replacing Mark Linn-Baker and Rose Byrne, who are scheduled to play their final performances Jan. 4. This will mark Veep actress Chlumsky's Broadway debut.

The new production of the Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman began previews Aug. 26, and opened Sept. 28 at Manhattan's Longacre Theatre. It has extended its initial limited run to Feb. 22.
