BENTONVILLE, Ark., Sept. 29 (UPI) -- On Monday, Walmart answered back to Tracy Morgan's lawsuit stemming from the muti-car crash on the New Jersey Turnpike earlier this year.
In that crash, Morgan and several others were badly hurt and are now suing Walmart for negligence.
According to the filing, Walmart said that injuries "were caused, in whole or in part, by plaintiffs' failure to properly wear an appropriate available seatbelt restraint device."
Morgan's lawsuit says the driver of the truck that hit him was overtired after being awake for 24 hours.
The lawsuit accuses Roper of falling asleep behind the wheel.
In its filed answer, Walmart wouldn't go into specifics about what exactly happened.
The company cites transportation law as part of the reason it cannot go into specifics.
