Robert Downey Jr.'s son arrested for cocaine possession

Indio Downey was released on $10,000 bail after midnight Sunday following his arrest on Saturday.

WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif., June 30 (UPI) -- Indio Downey, Robert Downey Jr.'s son, was arrested for cocaine possession in West Hollywood Saturday afternoon.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ that the 20-year-old son of the Iron Man star was seen by police officers as he smoked from a pipe while he was a passenger in a car. After police stopped the vehicle and searched it, officials reportedly found cocaine on Downey.

He was arrested for cocaine possession after the incident and was released on a $10,000 bail after midnight on Sunday.

Downey is Downey Jr.'s only son with his first wife actress Deborah Falconer.

Downey Jr. famously struggled with drug abuse in the late 1990s and early 2000s and was involved in a few drug-related arrests. The Golden Globe winning actor has said his father was a drug addict and allowed him to use marijuana at the age of 6.
