James Franco pens short story about Lindsay Lohan

NEW YORK, June 10 (UPI) -- James Franco called Lindsay Lohan "damaged" in a new short story he wrote for Vice about the time he was living at a hotel in West Hollywood while his house underwent reparations.

In Bungalow 89, Franco talks about a "Hollywood girl, a damaged one" who once upon a time got a key to his hotel room at Chateau Marmont and insisted he let her sleep on his couch.

Franco had told this story before, but in far less detail, when he denied ever sleeping with Lohan after an alleged sex list belonging to the actress was published by In Touch magazine. The Mean Girls star later revealed in her OWN documentary, Lindsay, that the list was real and that it was written while she was in the fifth step of Alcoholics Anonymous at the Betty Ford clinic.

In his story, Franco discussed how he read Salinger to the young actress and how he never meant to have sex with her.

"I hope she gets better," he writes at one point. "You see, she is famous. She was famous because she was a talented child actress, and now she's famous because she gets into trouble. She is damaged."

The Oscar-nominated actor goes on to expand on Lohan's "tabloid-performance run" and how she kept coming back to his hotel room over and over.

"Every night Lindsay looked for me, and I hid," the Of Mice and Men star writes at the end of his story. "Out the window was Hollywood."
