NEW YORK, June 5 (UPI) -- Matthew Broderick and Nathan Lane plan to reunite on Broadway.

The actors previously collaborated on The Producers film and The Odd Couple in 2005, and will appear in an upcoming revival of Terrance McNally's It's Only a Play. The ensemble also includes F. Murray Abraham (Amadeus), Stockard Channing (The West Wing) and Megan Mullally (Will & Grace).

It's Only a Play features Broderick as high-strung playwright Peter Austin, and Lane as successful television star James Wicker. The piece is set at first-time producer Julia Budder's (Mullally) apartment as she, Austin and others await the late-night review of their production. Channing portrays Budder's star Virginia Noyes, while Abraham appears as theater critic Ira Drew.

Jack O'Brien will direct the revival, which is set to open October 9 at Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre.
