Lohan arrested after N.Y. club fight

NEW YORK, Nov. 29 (UPI) -- Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan was arrested Thursday morning after a fight with a woman at a New York City nightclub, police said.

ABC News reported Lohan is in police custody and assault charges are pending against the 26-year-old "Liz & Dick" star, who allegedly punched a woman during an altercation at downtown Manhattan's Club Avenue at around 4 a.m.

It was unclear whether alcohol was involved.

Lohan starred in a string of hit films such as "The Parent Trap" and "Mean Girls," but in recent years has seen her career eclipsed by her legal woes, family dramas, and battles with drugs and alcohol.


Jenna Bush Hager named editor-at-large for Southern Living magazine

NEW YORK, Nov. 29 (UPI) -- Jenna Bush Hager, daughter of former U.S. President George W. Bush, has been named editor-at-large at Southern Living magazine.

The University of Texas graduate will write for the publication's "Paper Napkin Interview," as well as a blog called "The Daily South," NBC's "Today" reported.

Bush Hager is also a contributing correspondent for the New York-based "Today" morning news program.

"I am kind of a homesick Southern person, a Texan living here in New York," she said on Wednesday's edition of "Today." "I love New York. I love the energy of it. I love the fast-paced nature of New York, but I do miss the slow Texas way."

Southern Living editor-in-chief Lindsay Bierman said he was "instantly charmed by Jenna's style and charisma."

"[Jenna's] Texas roots, passion for the South and proven reporting chops make her a natural fit for the brand," Bierman told "Today."


Ritchie's fiancee gives birth to daughter

LONDON, Nov. 29 (UPI) -- Guy Ritchie's publicist says the British filmmaker's fiancee, model Jacqui Ainsley, has given birth to their second child, a daughter.

"We can confirm that Guy and Jacqui are the proud parents of a new baby girl. Mother and baby are doing well," the director's representative told the Daily Mail newspaper in London Thursday.

No other details regarding the child's birth were immediately available.

The couple, who began dating in spring 2010, also have a 14-month-old son, Rafael, People.com said.

Ritchie has two other sons -- Rocco, 12, and David, 7 -- with his ex-wife, pop star Madonna.


'Diamonds' tops U.S. record chart

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 29 (UPI) -- Rihanna's "Diamonds" is No. 1 on the U.S. record chart, Billboard.com reported Thursday.

Coming in at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 is Ke$ha's "Die Young" at No. 2, followed by Maroon 5's "One More Night" at No. 3, Bruno Mars' "Locked Out of Heaven" at No. 4 and PSY's "Gangnam Style" at No. 5.

Rounding out the top tier are Fun.'s "Some Nights" at No. 6, Lumineers' "Ho Hey" at No. 7,

Phillip Phillips' "Home" at No. 8, Flo Rida's "I Cry" at No. 9 and Ne-Yo's "Let Me Love You [Until You Learn to Love Yourself]" at No. 10.
