Fire out at Tyler Perry's studio

ATLANTA, May 2 (UPI) -- The four-alarm fire that ripped through a building at the 30-acre Tyler Perry Studios complex in Atlanta has been extinguished, officials said Wednesday.

"The fire's out, but the cause remains under investigation," Capt. Jolyon Bundrige of the Atlanta Fire Department told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Although the blaze was extinguished within an hour Tuesday night, firefighters remained on the scene until early Wednesday, watching for hot spots and trying to determine the cause of the fire, the newspaper said.

No injuries were reported.

Perry -- an actor, writer, director and producer -- was at the 200,000-square foot studio Tuesday night, but did not speak to reporters, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution said.
