LOS ANGELES, Nov. 16 (UPI) -- Mariah Yeater has dropped her paternity lawsuit against 17-year-old Canadian pop star Justin Bieber, court records show.

TMZ said Yeater, 20, rescinded her claim last week after Bieber vowed to take a DNA test to prove he was not the father of her 3-month-old son. Bieber's legal team also threatened to sue her for making false claims against him.

The celebrity news Web site said the woman's lawyers have since dumped her as a client.

Yeater said she became pregnant when she and Bieber had sex after a Los Angeles concert last year. The woman filed a paternity suit, requesting financial support for her son.
