CHARLIE SHEEN: Charlie Sheen's publicist said the U.S. television actor has entered an undisclosed rehab after his hospitalization in Los Angeles this week.

Stan Rosenfield, Sheen's spokesman, told CNN Friday the "Two and Half Men" star left Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Thursday night after being transported there by ambulance and admitted earlier in the day.

"Charlie has had a hernia condition for some time," Rosenfield said. "I was told by the person who made the 911 call that it was hernia-related."

The 45-year-old actor's successful career has long been marred by his legal woes, battles with drug and alcohol addiction, and failed marriages to Denise Richards and Brooke Mueller.

Some media reports said he was using cocaine and drinking heavily before his latest health crisis.

"He definitely did not OD but, yes, he was partying," an unidentified friend told People.com.

"He doesn't think he's going to die. He doesn't want to stop. In his eyes, he thinks: 'I'm having fun, so what? I'm making $2 million a week, the show has the best ratings, I show up for up work. What's the problem?'" the friend said.

Sheen's spokesman told UsMagazine.com the actor "voluntarily entered an undisclosed rehabilitation center."

"He is most grateful to all who have expressed their concern," his representative told UsMagazine.com.

Although Sheen was expected to return to work Tuesday, the show's producers said the series is now on break.

"Due to Charlie Sheen's decision to enter a rehabilitation center, CBS, Warner Bros. Television and executive producer Chuck Lorre are placing 'Two and a Half Men' on production hiatus," a statement released by the makers of the show said Friday. "We are profoundly concerned for his health and well-being, and support his decision."

GERI JEWELL: U.S. actress Geri Jewell, who had a recurring role on "The Facts of Life," says she is a lesbian in a new memoir, "I'm Walking as Straight as I Can."

Jewell, 54, played character Blair's cousin, Geri, on the sitcom from 1980 to 1984.

The Hollywood Reporter said Jewell talks in the book about living with cerebral palsy, as well as her battle with substance abuse and what it was like being the first disabled person to have a recurring role on prime-time television. "Walking" is set for release April 1.

In addition to her work on "Facts," Jewell is a stand-up comedian and also known for playing a supporting part in HBO's western "Deadwood" from 2004 to 2006.

LISA MARIE PRESLEY: Lisa Marie Presley's publicist has denied a tabloid report claiming the U.S. musician collapsed at her home in England after she lost 55 pounds on a diet.

"It is absolutely and completely untrue," Presley's representative told People.com Friday. "The National Enquirer puts Lisa on the cover every few months with manipulated photos and horrendous stories of supposed 'meltdowns,' and has since she can remember."

The 42-year-old singer-songwriter, who is the daughter of rock 'n' roll icon Elvis Presley, is working in Los Angeles on her third album, People.com reported.

"She is happy and healthy and working hard," the representative added. "The rest is absolute garbage. Not a bit of truth to any of it."
