PER OSCARSSON: Dental records were used to identify remains found in a Swedish house fire as those of actor Per Oscarsson and his wife, Kia Ostling, police said.

Oscarsson, 83, has appeared in more than 100 Swedish feature films, but is perhaps best known to international audiences for his role in the movies "The Girl Who Played With Fire" and "The Girl Who Kicked Hornet's Nest."

Police spokesman Ulf Edberg told The Hollywood Reporter the couple's remains were identified early Wednesday, but Edberg said the cause of the blaze that killed them is still unknown.

"The cabin they were in was so burnt out, we might never find out exactly what happened," Edberg said. "But there is no evidence of foul play being involved."

CARLOS SANTANA: Guitarist Carlos Santana has confirmed he married drummer Cindy Blackman in Hawaii.

People.com reported Wednesday 180 guests, including comedian George Lopez and musicians Herbie Hancock and Wayne Shorter, attended the Dec. 19 ceremony at the Ritz-Carlton on Maui.

"The weather was kind of iffy, so we said, 'Let's just do it inside,'" Santana told People.com. "Because no matter where we did it, the sun was shining."

"Rain represents mercy," added Blackman. "It couldn't have been more beautiful."

Santana was divorced from Deborah, his wife of 34 years, in 2007.

ALEC BALDWIN: U.S. television star Alec Baldwin says he is "very, very interested" in a career in politics, but not quite ready to give up acting yet to pursue it.

Baldwin has earned numerous awards for his work in the sitcom "30 Rock."

CNN said Eliot Spitzer asked him in an interview to air Wednesday on the cable network's "Parker Spitzer" if he is ready to "get into this game," meaning politics.

Baldwin has said in the past he would consider running for office if the opportunity arose.

"The answer is: Yes, it's something that I am very, very interested in," Baldwin told Spitzer. "People would say to me all the time, 'Why would you want to do that?' And sometimes I don't want to do it because to leave what I am doing now would be extremely painful."

Baldwin went on to say he loves how his acting career has been going lately.

"However, I do believe that people want to believe that someone, who deeply cares about the middle class ... would like to see public office," CNN quoted him as saying.

MATT DAMON: Actor and philanthropist Matt Damon is to be presented with the 4th Joel Siegel Award at the 16th annual Critics' Choice Movie Awards in Los Angeles.

The Broadcast Film Critics Association, which organizes the yearly event, announced Tuesday Damon will be honored at its 16th annual Critics' Choice Movie Awards Jan. 14.

Given annually, the Joel Siegel Award pays homage to "Good Morning America" film critic and BFCA member Joel Siegel, who lost his long battle with cancer in June 2007.

Damon won his first two Critics' Choice Awards 13 years ago as the star and co-writer of "Good Will Hunting." He has gone on to receive five more nominations, including one last year for his work in "Invictus." Damon's other film credits include "Saving Private Ryan," the "Bourne" and "Ocean's" series and "True Grit."

"Matt personifies the values celebrated by the Joel Siegel Award," BFCA President Joey Berlin said in a statement. "Among his many charitable endeavors, Matt's work as co-founder of Water.org has inspired us to honor him.
