TORONTO, Sept. 11 (UPI) -- Spanish actress Penelope Cruz is denying rumors she is pregnant with her longtime boyfriend Javier Bardem's baby.

"I start getting some presents from friends saying, 'Congratulations, you're pregnant.' And I say, 'No, I'm not, so return the presents,'" Cruz told USA Today at the Toronto Film Festival Thursday. "It's amazing."

Cruz, who has starred in the movies "Vanilla Sky," "Volver" and "Vicky Cristina Barcelona," reportedly made the remarks at the film festival where her latest effort, "Broken Embraces," screened.
