LOS ANGELES, Aug. 3 (UPI) -- Canadian actor Donal Logue has signed on to star in "Terriers," an FX comedy pilot about a pair of unlikely private detectives.

The Hollywood Reporter said Logue is to headline the first episode of a possible series from "The Shield" creator Shawn Ryan and "Ocean's Eleven" scribe Ted Griffin. The entertainment industry trade newspaper did not say if the other detective has been cast yet in "Terriers."

Logue's small-screen credits include "Life," "The Knights of Prosperity," "ER" and "The Practice." He has also appeared in the films "Max Payne," "The Groomsmen" and "Blade."
