Michelle Obama visits 'Sesame Street'

NEW YORK, May 7 (UPI) -- U.S. first lady Michelle Obama taped a segment for the children's TV program "Sesame Street" in New York this week.

The mother of two young daughters stopped by the set Tuesday to help Muppet Elmo plant a garden.

"I never thought I'd be on Sesame Street with Elmo and Big Bird, and I was thrilled," the New York Daily News quoted Michelle Obama as saying later in the day at a U.S. Mission to the United Nations event. "I'm still thrilled. I'm on a high. ... I think it's probably the best thing I've done so far in the White House."
