Anil Kapoor joins '24' cast

LOS ANGELES, April 3 (UPI) -- "Slumdog Millionaire" co-star Anil Kapoor has signed on for a role on the U.S. television drama "24."

The Indian actor played the game-show host in "Millionaire," which won the Oscar for best picture this year.

The Hollywood Reporter said the Bollywood star is set to join the cast as a Middle Eastern leader who comes to the United States on a peacekeeping mission in the upcoming eighth season of "24."

Kapoor has acted in more than 100 movies in India.
