'Bachelor' star Firestone a new father

SANTA BARBARA, Calif., March 22 (UPI) -- Andrew Firestone, a former star on the U.S. reality show "The Bachelor," and his wife, Ivana Bozilovic, have a newborn son, his representative says.

The unidentified representative said the 8-pound boy named Adam Brooks is the first child for the star of the third season of the ABC reality series and his actress-model girlfriend, People.com reported Sunday.

The couple named their child after Firestone's father, Santa Barbara County Supervisor Brooks Firestone, the representative said.

Firestone, 33, married Bozilovic last July, several years after his relationship with his "Bachelor" selection, Jen Schefft, ended. "The Bachelor," in which a single man chooses a potential wife from 25 female contestants, has been on for 13 seasons since debuting in 2002.

People.com said Firestone, the head of Curtis Winery, was elated at the prospect of parenthood at a recent event.

"I'm here with my very pregnant wife and she looks glowing!" Firestone said at the time. "We're very excited."
