LOS ANGELES, Feb. 25 (UPI) -- Lindsay Price has signed up for a role in the pilot for a small-screen version of "The Witches of Eastwick," The Hollywood Reporter said.

Price was a cast member of the original "Beverly Hills, 90210" in its later years and recently co-starred on the series "Lipstick Jungle," which has neither been renewed for a third season nor canceled yet.

The Hollywood Reporter said Price has been cast as one of the three witches -- a shy reporter for the local newspaper -- in the pilot for "Eastwick," which is based on the 1987 feature film, which, in turn, was inspired by John Updike's 1984 novel.

Jaime Ray Newman, who has had recurring roles on "E-Ring" and "Veronica Mars," was also recently cast to play one of the modern-day sorceresses in "Eastwick," the entertainment industry trade newspaper said.
