LOS ANGELES, Aug. 1 (UPI) -- Actress Nikki Blonsky and "America's Next Top Model" contestant Bianca Golden were charged with assault after a brawl in a West Indies airport, sources said.

Usmagazine.com said an employee at Providenciales International Airport in Turks and Caicos confirmed Blonsky, the 19-year-old star of the Hollywood movie musical "Hairspray," and her father, Carl, were arrested Wednesday after a fight with a woman.

The actress was charged with actual bodily harm, while her father was charged with grievous bodily harm, a source at the Turks and Caicos Weekly News told Usmagazine.com.

The source also said an alleged victim was severely injured and had to be flown off the island to Miami for medical treatment.

Police told TMZ.com that there was an altercation between Blonsky's and Golden's families in the airport's departure lounge.

An eyewitness told the entertainment news Web site that the fight started when Nikki Blonsky tried to save five seats for her family and Golden's relatives wanted them.

TMZ.com said both Blonsky and Golden were charged with assault, while Blonsky's father was charged with inflicting bodily harm for his alleged attack on Golden's mother Elaine.

Nikki Blonsky and Bianca Golden have been released on bail and were ordered to appear back in court later this month.

Carl Blonsky, however, has been ordered to remain in jail until Aug. 8, TMZ.com said.
