NEW YORK, July 28 (UPI) -- NBC Sports says U.S. country music star Faith Hill will again perform "Waiting All Day for Sunday Night," the theme song for "Sunday Night Football."

The network has also announced Hill will be part of an ongoing promotional campaign for the program. The spots will continue to air during NBC's coverage of the Olympics Aug. 8-25, NBC said.

The first commercial, which features NFL players preparing game-time snacks for Hill and her girlfriends, was filmed in Pasadena last month.

"Waiting All Day for Sunday Night" is to debut Sept. 7, NBC's first regular-season "Sunday Night Football" broadcast of 2008.

The opening theme will continue weekly, kicking off "Sunday Night Football" every Sunday night throughout the season.

"What a thrill it was to be invited back this year. I'm a huge football fan and I love being part of the 'Sunday Night Football' family," Hill said in a statement. "The promo piece is one of the funniest things I have ever seen. Fans will be in for a real treat getting a glimpse of these guys in the kitchen. We had a blast!"
