NEW YORK, July 2 (UPI) -- Actress Tatum O'Neal has pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct in a New York court in her recent drug arrest, TMZ.com said Wednesday.

O'Neal, who won an Oscar as a child for her work in the film "Paper Moon," now co-stars on the TV series "Rescue Me." She has spoken candidly about her battles with alcohol and drug addiction throughout the years.

The actress was arrested last month allegedly attempting to buy crack cocaine from a vagrant on the Lower East Side of Manhattan.

TMZ.com reported that a Manhattan judge told O'Neal Wednesday the case would be dismissed Sept. 4 if she spends two half-day sessions in a drug treatment program and pays a $95 fee.
