Brinkley's lawyers to focus on adultery

NEW YORK, June 28 (UPI) -- Attorneys representing former model Christie Brinkley will focus on her husband's alleged infidelity during their divorce trial in New York, a lawyer says.

The lawyer representing Diana Bianchi, the woman accused of having an affair with Brinkley's husband, Peter Cook, said Friday the model's attorneys are prepared to have the 21-year-old testify during the trial, the New York Daily News reported.

"She has been subpoenaed to appear July 2," lawyer Joe Tacopina said of his client.

"She's trying to keep a very low profile and stay out of all this."

Bianchi allegedly became romantically involved with Cook two years ago while a teenage employee at his architectural firm, the Daily News said.

News of the alleged affair ultimately went public and Brinkley attorney Robert Cohen asked that the divorce trial remain public to allow the media to learn of Cook's suspected infidelity.

That request was granted by acting state Supreme Court Justice Mark Cohen despite opposition from the legal guardian of the couple's children, who argued such details could be upsetting to the children.


Lohan's father confirms half-sister rumors

LOS ANGELES, June 28 (UPI) -- Lindsay Lohan has a half-sister she never knew existed, the U.S. pop singer's father has confirmed.

In an exclusive report to OK! Magazine Friday, Michael Lohan confirmed that while separated from his ex-wife Dina Lohan, the "Bossy" singer's mother, he had a romantic relationship with another woman which resulted in the birth of a baby girl.

"Years later (the woman) contacted me, convincing me that I was the only person she was with and that she had my child," he said of the child and her mother.

In addition to the "Mean Girls" actress, Michael and Dina Lohan had three other children before their divorce in 2007.

The New York Daily News reported that Michael Lohan previously denied having a child with the woman, who he identified as Christy Horn, and is prepared to take a paternity test.

Lohan has also questioned why news of the 13-year-old child came about while his daughter is enjoying a successful music and film career, the News said.

"Why did she come forward now?" he said of Horn. "Is it because Lindsay is a big star? Is she looking for money?"


'Housewives' set to welcome McDonough

LOS ANGELES, June 28 (UPI) -- The cast of the U.S. TV series "Desperate Housewives" is to welcome former "Boomtown" star Neal McDonough to its ranks, an industry newspaper reports.

McDonough, who played Deputy District Attorney David McNorris on the short-lived NBC series, will join the cast of the popular ABC drama next season, The Hollywood Reporter said Friday.

The "Tin Man" star will be a regular on the series, playing a white-collar worker who may become romantically involved with "Housewives" mainstay Nicolette Sheridan's character.

The Reporter said in addition to the "Medical Investigation" star, "Housewives" added actor Gale Harold to its regular cast for the forthcoming new season.

Harold is to play the character Ken, who previously was seen on the drama kissing "Housewives" star Teri Hatcher's character.


Hilton: Madden helping with theme song

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., June 28 (UPI) -- Heiress Paris Hilton says her rocker boyfriend Benji Madden is helping her create a theme song for her new U.S. reality TV series.

The 27-year-old heiress to the Hilton hotel empire said she and the Good Charlotte guitarist are working together to create a theme song for the upcoming MTV series "My New BFF," People magazine said Friday.

"Benji and I have been working hard on it," Hilton said. "He's helping me write the lyrics for the song and then I'll sing it, too."

The new reality series will feature Hilton attempting to choose a new friend from a group of 20 hopefuls, People said.

In addition to working with Madden on the series' theme song, Hilton said she is preparing a new album to follow her 2006 album "Paris."

"I'll have another album come out, for sure," the former "Simple Life" star told E! News. "I just don't know when yet. I only have the summer off, then I'll be taping another season of 'BFF.' But an album is something I'll do."
