Report: Winehouse collapses, hospitalized

LONDON, June 16 (UPI) -- Amy Winehouse's representative said the British soul singer has been hospitalized after fainting in her London flat.

Winehouse, 24, frequently makes headlines due to her erratic behavior, drug addiction and legal battles.

"Amy was at home this afternoon when she briefly fainted," her representative told Usmagazine.com. "Fortunately, her manager's assistant was there to stop her falling. She quickly recovered and her father Mitch took her to hospital as a precaution. Doctors are unsure of the cause of the incident and Amy is currently undergoing tests."

The publicist added Winehouse "may be kept in (the hospital) overnight for observation.
