HOLLYWOOD, May 1 (UPI) -- "The Very Best of Billy Idol: Idolize Yourself" album will feature two new songs from the British rock icon, Capitol/EMI said Thursday.

The set is to drop June 24, the same day Idol is scheduled to perform on the "Jimmy Kimmel Live" outdoor stage.

The album will be available on CD and a deluxe edition CD/DVD, as well as in a digital format.

Idol's two new songs, "John Wayne" and "New Future Weapon," will be exclusively available on the new release, which features all seven of Idol's Top 10 hits -- including "Dancing with Myself," "White Wedding," "Cradle of Love" and "Rebel Yell" -- among its 18 tracks.

In a statement, Idol said when he is singing "John Wayne" he is "thinking about the characters" John Wayne played."

"They were usually men with a flaw in their character or something dark in their past they're trying to rise above before the end of the movie," he said. "So it's not about the kick-in-the-door John Wayne or the barroom fight John Wayne -- it's more the man who overcomes."
