PARIS, April 27 (UPI) -- Frances Bean Cobain, the teen daughter of U.S. rockers Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love, is being considered to become the public persona of Chanel, a friend says.

The unidentified friend said Chanel's top designer, Karl Lagerfeld, is considering Cobain as the new face for the Paris-based fashion company's future marketing campaigns, Hellomagazine.com said.

"She is incredibly pretty and has the most perfect porcelain skin," the friend said. "She and her mother are having talks with Karl about Frances appearing in his next ad campaign."

Love reportedly is being cautious about allowing her 15-year-old daughter to enter the super-charged fashion industry.

"Courtney is concerned about Frances pursuing a catwalk career at such a young age," the friend told the Web site.

Cobain's father, the former lead singer of the rock band Nirvana, died in 1991.
